Christie (foster mom) adopted Ellie and her two siblings Callie and Lewis!  8/12/2020

Meet Ellie!  Ellie's momma showed up at her foster family's home very pregnant.  After a careful search for her family with no results, this new momma was welcomed inside and blessed them with three of the most beautiful sweet kitties.  Ellie was the first born and brought immediate joy to the family who rescued them.  She just looks at you with her brown eyes and melts your heart.

Ellie is a beautiful girl who loves snuggling with her people and kitten siblings.  She can be a tiny bit shy at first, but warms up fast.  She is a perfect mix of snuggly and playful.  Ellie would do great with her brother (Lewis) or sister (Callie) or another kitty.  She would also do well as a spoiled only kitty.   This little sweetheart loves to be petted and brushed and is always happy to sit in your lap and cuddle.  Ellie is always the first in line for dinner time--and especially enjoys a nice nap after eating. (She's a big fan of her Royal Canin kitten gravy bits!)

She's the perfect kitten and any family will absolutely love her!

Special Needs Note:   Ellie tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). Don't worry! Keep reading...

Her vet suggested she be retested at six months of age.  Likely positive from mom's antibodies (because momma kitty tested positive), kittens rarely get FIV from their mothers.  Often, when kittens are retested, most of them test negative, which means they never had the virus--they just got the antibodies that fight the virus--from their mom.  FIV-positive cats are very adoptable and can live the same lifespan as a cat who is FIV negative.

FIV only effects CATS.   It is not passed through open wounds and it is not passed through sharing of food, water, dishes, or toys. It isn't passed by mutual grooming by other cats, snuggling, mock fighting, sharing the same litter box, getting scratched, or even by sneezing.  FIV and Non-FIV cats can be held and cuddled at the same time and not spread the virus.

At six months of age, Everett Animal Welfare Group can arrange for an IDExx test at one of the vets and the price would be just $24.

Ellie's adoption fee is $90 and a spay/neuter voucher is included. Please visit Everett Animal Welfare Group's website and complete an adoption application and let us know if you would like to meet Ellie or the rest of her precious family. No pressure!
