Christie (foster mom) adopted Callie and her two siblings Ellie and Lewis!  8/12/2020

Meet Callie!  Callie's momma was rescued by her foster family when she showed up at their home pregnant.  They tried to locate her humans, but with no results.  So they brought her inside and she blessed them with three precious sweet kittens.

Callie is very friendly and loves snuggles and play time!  Callie's foster mom warns, "Don't let her doll face fool you!"  Callie loves to have fun! Callie enjoys chasing her sibling brother (Lewis) and sister (Ellie) around the room.   Callie isn't shy and you'll see when you meet her that she is full of life and love.  She would do well as an only kitty or with another pet companion. If you are considering adopting more than one kitten, her siblings are also available for adoption at the time of this posting.  Callie is very entertaining and loves racing around the room chasing her wand toy. She's very entertaining and is really playful!

She really likes to be where her humans are...and loves to sit in your lap and cuddle while you pet or brush her.  She has the most precious expressions, too!  She will be perfect for any family!

Special Needs Note:  We wanted to let you know that Callie tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV).  Don't worry! Keep reading...

Her vet suggested she be retested at six months of age.  Likely positive from mom's antibodies (because momma kitty tested positive), kittens rarely get FIV from their mothers.  Often, when kittens are retested, most of them test negative, which means they never had the virus--they just got the antibodies that fight the virus--from their mom.  FIV-positive cats are very adoptable and can live the same lifespan as a cat who is FIV negative.

FIV only effects CATS.  It is not passed through open wounds and it is not passed through sharing of food, water, dishes, or toys. It isn't passed by mutual grooming by other cats, snuggling, mock fighting, sharing the same litter box, getting scratched, or even by sneezing.  FIV and non-FIV cats can be held and cuddled at the same time and not spread the virus.

At six months of age, Everett Animal Welfare Group can arrange for an IDExx test at one of the vets and the price would be just $24.

Callie's adoption fee is $90 and a spay/neuter voucher is included. Please visit Everett Animal Welfare Group's website and complete an adoption application and let us know if you would like to meet Callie or the rest of her precious family. No pressure!
