This handsome boy has the most beautiful soft silver grey and white coat. Humble wandered up to someone's porch on a cold day in the middle of December, lost and alone, nearly hairless, and scared. They took him inside and while they had no idea how old he was, even though he barely weighed over three pounds they discovered he was approximately four months old! He had a severe eye infection, too. There was no mama kitty around and it was obvious he was looking for some help. He was taken to the vet where he was tested and treated, then brought to his new foster home where he was treated with meds and cared for by his foster mom. She said the best way to describe how he reacted to gently being held while she brushed him and put medicine in his eyes was grateful. And that's how he got his name "Humble."
After he started feeling better and exploring his foster home, he met his kitten foster buddy, Leo, and they became fast friends. They love to play and snuggle together, and keep each other company if their foster mom has to go out during the day. She says they adapted and get along great in their home environment.
In fact, this is the perfect time to let you know that Humble and Leo are so happy together and love each other so much that they want to find a family who will adopt the two of them at the same time so they never have to say goodbye.
Humble is just a friendly talkative boy. His foster mama says he loves to follow her around and cuddle her feet! LOL He will gladly chase a toy or play with the stick toy with you. His favorite toy is a little stuffed candy corn, although his foster mom says if he sees a little throw or a folded towel on the couch, he will sometimes pull it down and make a little nest in it and curl up. He will sit on your lap to cuddle, too, and let you pet him till the sun goes down, purring away. He loves to sit with you if you're watching t.v., and if you think it can't get any better...wait till he lets you hold him like a baby and kiss him on his sweet little head! I know, right?
Humble and Leo would be a wonderful addition to any family who is looking for two cats to adopt together who have already been through the kitten pin teeth stage, and who are just happy to be safe and warm inside with their humans.
